Community Trust

The Trust is also the local Conservation Committee and, in that role we have held a public meeting about the proposals contained in the Council’s Unitary Development Plan, this was a well attended meeting and residents were able to find out clear information about the UDP and any potential for impact on our community. We are delighted that we have been awarded a Green Flag Award for our Village Green, these awards identify public green space of high quality and interest.

Traffic issues have always been high on the list of concerns of the local community, and we now have a list of 25 people waiting to receive training on operating ‘speed guns’ as part of the battle to calm the speed of traffic through the Village.

The Trust is always keen to welcome new members, and the meetings are held on 3rd Wednesday of each month at 7.30pm at the Women’s Institute. I am confident that the Trust will continue to develop and work for the benefit of our community and that we can look forward to an exciting 2005
